The Peachy Canyon label began in 1988 with a load of Zinfandel grapes from Benito Dusi’s vineyards.
Though only amounting to a couple hundred cases, that first release cemented the label’s reputation for premium wines,
especially red wines such as Zinfandel, which remains Peachy Canyon’s flagship.

Now, some 18 years after the first release of Peachy Canyon wines, the label produces some 64,000 cases
annually, and the winery remains a family affair. Vintners Doug and Nancy Beckett, are at the helm. Over the years their sons
have held numerous positions within the business. Currently, Josh is the esteemed Winemaker and Jake the National Sales Manager.
The Becketts' own 50 acres of Zinfandel, 35 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon, 5 acres of Petite Sirah at different locations, plus
13 acres of miscellaneous grapes.
The Peachy Canyon philosophy has also remained true to its roots – that great
wine begins in the vineyards. The label’s nearly 100 acres of estate vineyards are the Mustang Springs Ranch, Old School
House, Snow, and Mustard Creek. The estate-grown varieties include Zinfandel, Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot,
Malbec, and Petite Sirah. Grapes to round out the label’s other wines -- Merlot, Viognier and Sangiovese -- are obtained
through long-standing contracts with several premium winegrape growers.
